Transfer now playing at Lincoln Park
Jan 21, 2009
Look out Section 1-A, the Lincoln Park High boys basketball team has added an other weapon to its arsenal. Justin Hosack, a 6-foot-2 senior transfer from Hopewell, returned to the court and scored 25 points against Beaver County Christian on Friday. Hosack was ruled eligible to play the morning of the game. In May, both the WPIAL and PIAA ruled Hosack ineligible to play because of athletic intent. Lincoln Park athletic director Mike Bariski told the Beaver County Times that Beaver County judge John P. Dohanich issued a preliminary injunction allowing Hosack to play the remainder of the season. The Leopards (5-1 section, 9-5 overall) are ranked No. 5 in Class A by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. They are tied with Neshannock for first place in Section 1.
